Curious about track cycling? Whether you’re completely new to the velodrome or returning after some time away, On Track – Come & Try sessions are designed to help you build confidence and develop foundational track skills in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Led by accredited AusCycling Track Instructors, these sessions cater to all experience levels—no prior track experience required.

Throughout the series, we offer sessions tailored to different groups, including Women & Gender Diverse, Men, and other beginner-friendly cohorts, ensuring everyone has a comfortable and inclusive introduction to track cycling.

Section Title

Our On Track sessions provide a welcoming entry point into track cycling, with a strong focus on building skills, confidence, and familiarity with riding on the velodrome.

Sessions are delivered regularly creating a supportive pathway for riders who are keen to continue progressing.

You do not need to be a club member to attend.

If you’d like to continue after your first session, you’ll be eligible for a free 4-week AusCycling trial membership, giving you time to explore track cycling before committing to a club.

Cost: $5 registration fee
(All proceeds support future track cycling sessions)

What to Bring

  • A helmet (required)

  • Closed toe shoes or cycling shoes and pedals (if you ride with cleats) 

  • Comfortable clothing but nothing too loose.

  • Water bottle​

 

Need a bike?

Club track bikes are available to borrow and we’ll do our best to match you with a suitable bike before the session.
