Welcome Back to 2026 at Brunswick!
We hope everyone enjoyed a safe, relaxing, and well‑earned break over the festive period and is feeling refreshed for the year ahead. With racing, riding, and social events already well underway, it’s great to see the club buzzing again.

We’d like to extend a special and very well‑deserved congratulations to Gabe Bouris, who was officially inducted as our 2025 Life Member at the December club presentations. Gabe’s contribution to the club over many years has been outstanding, and this recognition reflects the lasting impact of his dedication and service.
The festive season also delivered plenty of great racing. Congratulations to all BCC members who competed across the Christmas carnivals, there was fantastic Brunswick representation at every event, and it was wonderful to see so many familiar colours in the bunches and on the podiums.
The National Championships were a particular highlight, with multiple podium finishes from our riders. A huge congratulations to Ruby Roseman-Gannon, who claimed the Criterium National Championship, and to Tara Neyland, who took out both the Road Race and Individual Time Trial titles. An incredible achievement and a proud moment for the club, well done to everyone who took part, the full compliment of results can be found here.

Off the bike, we recently held a very successful working bee at the club rooms, and we want to sincerely thank everyone who came along to lend a hand. Thanks to your efforts, bikes were fixed, the deck received a much‑needed clean, and the track numbers were freshly painted, the club rooms are looking fantastic. Community days like these are vital to keeping our facilities in top shape, and your support is truly appreciated. Another working bee will be happening again soon, and we’d love to see even more helpers come along next time.
Speaking of overhauls, the Brunswick website has been undergoing some much‑needed updates over the past few weeks. We’ll soon be rolling out a dedicated members’ area, featuring access to exclusive discounts and club goodies. If there’s something you’d love to see on the website — or a feature you think would make it even better — we’d love to hear your ideas.
Looking ahead, the calendar is already filling!. On the track, Aces continues right through to Easter and over on the dirt, Apple Crumble - Another Slice takes place on 8 February, followed closely by Dirty Deeds CX on Valentine’s Day, a perfect romantic weekend activity. Staying with the food theme, lets not forget Bananas in Lycra which rolls around on 28 February.
Thanks to everyone for their ongoing support, and we look forward to seeing you trackside, trailside, or at the club very soon.
Ride Safe,
Ben
