About the event

How does it run?

Every child will get to do the famous Alan Grindal 30-Second Challenge, which is an individual time trial around the velodrome, with each child’s time being recorded. These times are then used to separate the riders into ability-based grades. Riders then compete in a variety of bunch races, including scratch races, points races, and handicaps. Everything is explained clearly on the morning.

If there is heavy rain forecast, Clinic will be cancelled. You will be notified of any cancellation via email if you are on our registration link mailing list, or through our Facebook page. Any updates will be sent/posted before 8am on the Sunday morning.

At the end of the season we hold our Clinic Championships. Trophies are awarded for both age-based races and graded races.

The last week of Summer Clinic is Family Fun Day. This day is full of special events for everyone to participate in. Costumes are highly encouraged with the best dressed receiving special prizes. Highlights include the Mums' Race, Dads' Race, Handicaps and the Family Time Trial Challenge.
